Biography of Allison Mack

While Allison Mack was born in Germany, she moved with her family to Long Beach, California when she was only two years old. She began acting at a very young age (four) with some print work and a few commercials. So because of this affinity for action, she began studying acting at The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles at the tender age of seven. She was still attending regular classes there in improvisation and scene study course before joining the cast of "Smallville" (2001). Allison also starred in the short-lived and sorely under-rated Fox television comedy "Opposite Sex" (2000). It’s hard to say what went wrong with the series as fox has a tendency to axe shows before giving them much of a chance. Prior to the fox pilot, she was a regular guest star on "Hiller and Diller" (1997), working alongside many great talents of film and screen such as Richard Lewis (II), Kevin Nealon and Eugene Levy (I). Allison has also had a guest appearance in the critically acclaimed and long running WB family drama "7th Heaven" (1996) as a misguided teenager caught up in the recent and disturbing "cutting" trend.

Mack’s illustrious career has led her to starring roles in many movies for television, including cable films such as My Horrible Year! (2001) (TV) which was directed by Eric Stoltz and starring Karen Allen, Mimi Rogers and Stoltz himself. She also had a role in the film Private Matter, A (1992) (TV) with Sissy Spacek and Aidan Quinn, Living a Lie (1991) (TV) with Peter Coyote and Eichenberry, Jill, Unlikely Angel (1996) (TV) with Dolly Parton and Roddy McDowall, Stolen Memories: Secrets From the Rose Garden (1995) (TV) starring Mary Tyler Moore and Linda Lavin. Allison is also a very accomplished dancer and gifted singer and she is currently living in a home in Vancouver British Columbia. She enjoys relaxing reading, going to see the latest movies and plays and spending some quality time with her good friends and family.
